PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I is for Intelligent
Ponyboys not like most of the greasers. Ponyboy gets good grades and applies himself with the work he does. He's smart just like his brother Darry. But Sodapop feels like he's the odd ball out the brothers because he's not as smart as Darry and Ponyboy. So Sodapop dropped out of school.
J is for jumped
Johnny the kicked puppy of the gang got jumped one day walking alone. That's how he got his place or name in the gang. Bob the Socs with a lot of rings was the one who had beaten Johnny scared. The gang found him sobbing in the vacant lot. And since that beating traumatized him. No body gives him any trouble and stands up for him.
K is for kids
Johnny changed from the time he first met the gang and to after the fire. He was just the kicked puppy if the gang. But then when he sees that the church is burning and there's kids inside, he knows he has to go in and save them. Johnny and Ponyboy got the kids out just in time. But the
L is for Lesson
Both sides greasers and Socs learn a lesson. Cherry tells Ponyboy that it's rough everywhere, meaning that everyone has a problems and isn't perfect. The greasers learn that Socs aren't perfect, they have problems at home just like they do. But the greasers didn't know that by just looking at the Socs. And together both Socs and greasers learn that society is ugly. It will judge them for how they look. You can not win with society. There's always two things that will happen but one option will never to be done and win. Cause there is no winning with society.
M is for mustang
A blue mustang pulls up. Ponyboys walking alone after watching a movie at the drive in. The Socs get out of the car and start to walk towards Ponyboy. Ponyboy knows he's out numbered here. So he starts to run, but that doesn't do him any good. The Socs jump him and say that he needs a hair cut and takes out a blade. But luckily Darry was there to save the day. And got the Socs to get back in their car and leave.
N is for Nap
Cherry and Marcia are walking home with Ponyboy and Johnny. But then Bob and Randy pull up and drive Cherry an Marcia home. So Ponyboy and Johnny start to walk over to the vacant lot and pull out a cigarette and start to smoke. They both end up falling asleep. But when Ponyboy wakes up it's like two in the morning, and that's past Ponyboys curfew.
O is for outsiders
In the book everyone's an outsider. Wether they know it or not. They see each other as greasers or Socs. But really the people in those groups only have one thing in common. How much money they have. Each of them are different in the same ways. They make think they are Socs or greasers but really they're outsiders.
P is for Paper
Ponyboy and Johnny made the paper for saving those kids. They were on the front page. But the heading on the picture was juveniles delinquents turn into heroes. Now how come it's that Johnny and Ponyboy are juvenile? It wouldn't have been the same heading if a Socs saved those kids. So it shouldn't be that way for greasers.
Q is for Quiet
In the first part of the book both Johnny and Ponyboy are quiet. But really it's cause they feel as if they don't below where they are. The night Darry hit Ponyboy both Johnny and Ponyboy were ready to leave, run away. The town of Talsa wasn't for them. They wanted to go somewhere were there wasn't two different kinds of people. They wanted to be where people were just treated as normal people and didn't have a social class. Were money didn't matter, wether you had a lot or none at all.
