What is Botball?

The Botball® Educational Robotics Program engages middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition

Deliverables

  • DOCUMENT innovation and creation
  • Build two autonomous robots
  • Presentation on competition day

Requirement #1

  • Robots must be completely student built from the Botball kit of approved parts

Requirement #2

  • Robots must be completely student programmed

Meetings are about working

Typical meeting (1.5 hour)

  • Task delegation - 15
  • Work (Build, Program, Write, Document, Trouble-Shoot, Discuss, Problem-Solve) - 60
  • Debrief task completion and planning for next meeting - 15

Components

  • LEGO® building materials
  • Compatible metal parts
  • an iRobot Create® platform
  • a variety of screws, nuts, bolts and other materials
  • Program Language = RobotC
