In the article “stop labeling people who commit crimes ‘criminals’’ by Kimberley Brownlee, argues about If the people who commit crimes are really criminals and the sign of evil in out society.

In the article it clearly state that when a person commits a crime, we should understand the details of his life story in order to determine the reason for a person's crime and whether he can really be defined as a bad person, but not rather than arbitrarily judging them as criminals who endanger society.

Just like the book “The scarlet letter”, Hester Prynne’s red A on her chest, people who don't know her will still deny her whole person and think she is a completely bad person, only because of the letter that she gets labeled on, but when we really start to learn her story, we will understand the reason why she sinned, and her other sides besides her label

A person's mistakes are undeniable, but we shouldn't label them only because of it, just like we've gotten rid of the label of poor, the disabled, the blind, we should never judge a book by its cover, that is also what the society should do when comes to comment on criminals.
