Imperialism

• Imperialism is a country being ruled based on military force/emperor

Why didn't Washington like Imperialism?

• The reason was that he believed that parties would lead to factions that would be more interested in keeping their power than doing the right thing for their country

How was Manifest Destiny and Imperialism:

• Similar: a desire to acquire territory for economic and an strategic purposes
• Difference: the patterns of conquest and settlement under each. Basically different reasoning.

How was imperialism good?

• it allowed nations to gain more wealth, and through which they could better their nation.
• It allowed countries to gain power, as well as technological advances

And bad?

• it caused conflict and rivalries between countries trying to gain control of the areas full of the most resources and therefore profit for them

Conclusion: To me they at the same time needed imperialism but not because remember we're a nation where we help our allies and not evil. Doing this could spread corrupt power and abuse in leadership. But it doesn't hurt to get more better technology after time because of imperialism!
