There is 9 Supreme Court Justices.
The President Appoints the Justices.
The Justices serve until death or until they resign.

Judicial Review
The Supreme Court's power to examine laws.
They can cancel laws if they violate the Constitution.
This started in 1803.
The Senate makes appointment for the a Supreme Court.

This house is made up of 435 members.
The amount of members is based off of the state population.
House Members serve 2 years and must at least 25 years old.

This house is made up of 100 members.
There is 2 members per state.
Senate serves 6 years and you must be 30 years old.
Members of BOTH houses must represent their constitutents.

The President
In order to run for President you must:
-A U.S. Citizen.
-35 years of age.
-Must be a resident of the United States for 14 years.
The President can serve a maximum total of two 4 year terms

JOBS OF THE PRESIDENT
Chief Executive- Responsible for carrying out the nation's laws.
Chief Diplomat- Directs foreign policies and negotiates with other nations.
Commander in Chief- Uses military to intervene with crisis situations.
Chief of State- A symbolic symbolic role representing all Americans.
Legislative Leader- Proposes laws to Congress and works with their passage.

A group of people that help the presidents make decisions.
They also help set government policies.
