Thomas Hooker (July 5, 1586 – July 7, 1647) founded Connecticut
Hooker founded Connecticut because he would get profit from fur trade,farming and religon
In 1636 Hooker went threw Connecticut where he founded the town Hartford

GEOGRAPHY
Connecticut is located in the eastern United States on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean
The people of Hartford used their land for farming and mining
CT is in the New England region
Connecticut was heavily involved in the United colonies postal service

The people of Connecticut traded furs with the Native American tribes
The people also used their land for farming so they sold crops .

Connecticut had the first functional written constitution called The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut.

Connecticut was involved in the establishment of a self government
The government was ran by its own people
Generally white men could vote. Most women, landless poor and African Americans couldn't

In 1636 war broke out a Pequot attacked and killed nine people from CT
The puritan was the most influential within the colony
The colony did allow religious freedom and political freedom
Several thousand militiamen left Connecticut to go to Massachusetts
a young Connecticut patriot, Nathan Hale, was captured by the British while on a spy mission for General Washington.
