The sun heats up the water collected on Earth.

Water evaporates up to the sky after being heated by the sun

Water vapor cools, makes tiny water droplets, and gathers together to form clouds

Water droplets get too heavy and fall as rain, snow, sleet, or hail.

Precipitation collects in rivers, lakes, and oceans until the sun heats it up again
