Tips for Reviewees

BEFORE THE REVIEW

1. Ensure you know who your Reviewer is

Your Head of Department will determine the reviewer/reviewee pairings

2. Schedule some time to reflect

Make time to think about your contribution in the last 12 months

3. YOUR ROLE

Consider how your role fits in with the team/department objectives

4. Departmental objectives

If you don't know what they are, find out.

5. Form to Reviewer

Provide your SRDS form to your reviewer at least one week in advance

DURING THE REVIEW

6. Open and honest

It's an opportunity to seek open and honest feedback.

7. Career development

Take the opportunity to discuss your career development, if you wish to.

8. Cover everything

Ensure that you and your reviewer have covered all the areas you wanted to.

AFTER THE REVIEW

9. Feedback

Read through the feedback, and keep a record of your actions

10. Sign the form

Don't forget to sign and date the form (and remember where you saved it)!

11. Arrange a Mid year review

This will give you a chance to keep track of progress against objectives
