Rosa Parks influenced many black people giving them hope for there freedoms. When she didn't give up her seat to a white man.

ROSA PARKS EARLY YEARS

  • Father - James McCauley, Mother Leona Edwards
  • Discriminated in school due to her race
  • Born in Tuskegee, Alabama February 4, 1913
  • Mother was an educator, Father was a carpenter
  • Forced to walk to school while school provided transportation for white children

PERSONAL LIFE

  • Rosa Parks married Raymond Parks on December of 1932
  • Raymond Parks worked as a Barber
  • Rosa had many jobs, field hand, cleaned classrooms and, seamstress
