SUCCESS CRITERIA: Collaborate w/colleagues & walk away with at least one thing you can do immediately.

Renee Mindy - LBS at JJH

The project my students worked on was called the World’s Most Pressing Problems. Students had to identify, explore, and provide solutions to what they felt to be the world’s most pressing issues and then either make a video or presentation of some sort to share with all of the classrooms across the world that participated. My students blogged, researched, and brainstormed solutions on many different topics during the quarter. The classroom in France that participated chose terrorism as their topic because of the magazine incident that took place earlier this year. In light of Paris enduring another terrorist attack, the moderator of the project from Canada, asked if we would like to send cards, emails, or videos supporting our new friends that are still reeling from this latest tragedy.

Unit 1 Blog: Most Pressing Problems

1. How might we connect with many more people to positively impact our daily lives, habits, & connection to humanity?

2. How might we provide opportunities to learners to problem solve/build for others?

3. How might we promote student ideas to spread in a connected world from small beginnings to EPIC scale?
