Slide Notes

I don't know if there is a specific format I'm supposed to follow when writing an Ode...if so, and I happen to have gotten it wrong and you choose to focus on that, you can mark this up as another of many failures.

Otherwise, you can read and consider the poem, as intended.

An Ode to Failure

Published on Nov 18, 2015

An illustrated presentation of a poem I wrote about the duplicitous nature of failure.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

an ode to failure

I am not a poet. But, I have failed many times...AND LIVED. So, I wrote this poem.

Foul, foul Failure!

Failure sucks, doesn't it?

Thou art Manure!

Who wants it?

Repulsive equalizer of man!

I'm a human being. So are you. We share a common bond and a common weakness...we're human.

We tend to want to forget this. I don't know why.

Maybe, failure is something we want to see in others...but not ourselves.

But, we can't hide from the fact of our equalness...our humanity.

Fertilizer of introspect

When we accept things are not, and cannot under the current circumstances, be the way we want them to be...

...we open our minds to the opportunity of creating the forces that can influence change.

By searching for the reasons for our failures, we can find the foundation onto which we can build.

We realize nothing stops us from continuing on.

A barren field becomes a vision of green paradise.

and the seeds of success

The realization that we can't control the results shows us we must focus on the things we can do if we are to do anything.

We can apply reason and logic.

We can think!

We can find the one path we will have the conviction to follow.

not discovered, yet!

The key is getting started...again....again...again.

Life-Long Success is getting what you want AND being the person you want to be.

Here's the catch: You can't get what you want if you are not first the person you want to be.

Use reason and logic.

Think!

Discover!

I started BoomLife to help people achieve life-long success using "GPS Theory," which I would never have discovered if I hadn't screwed so many things up so many times despite any successes I may have realized.
