  • The Incense Road was a major trade route used by Arabs
  • and it links to the eastern and southern areas of the Mediterranean.
  • The items and goods delivered include spices from neighboring countries, to refined gold and other
  • luxury goods.

WHAT TIME PERIOD DID IT TAKE PLACE

  • The trade route flourished from 7th century B.C to 2nd century A.D.

WHAT CHANGE DID IT BRING TO OTHER COUNTRIES

  • Greeks began to trade with India for the first time.
  • Trade for spices between Arabs and Indians became important.
  • Solitary countries became more united with foreign countries.

CONCLUSION

  • Overall, the Incense trade route helped create a bond between many
  • unfamiliar countries in which that bond created unity and trust around
  • the Mediterranean.
