Volleyball

Rules of the Game

• Six players on each side of the net
• A player serves by throwing then hitting the ball
• you can only use you're hands 

History of the game

• William G. Morgan invented it
• In the early 1900s it spread around the world
• Holyoke, Massachusetts is the first place it was approved(YMCA)  

Equipment

• knee pads and elbow pads
• 30ft net 60ft ( 18 meters ) long 
• volleyball
• team jerseys sometimes
• tennie shoes / bare feet

why we should have this in P.E.

• volleyball is fun and easy
• its a generalization so most people like it 
•  doesn't require a lot of materials
