Swollen feet are Common in pregnancy

  • Known as edema (excess fluid in your tissue)
  • There is expected swelling of extremities (to a certain point)
  • Excessive swelling of feet or legs is dangerous and painful
  • Can be a sign of preeclampsia
  • Women with this should contact their doctor/podiatrist immediately
