Edgar was a poet from the 1800s.He was known for writing a poem called the "Raven". His first work was called, "Tamer Lane" and the poem. His mom died when she was 24. Then Edgar had to move to the Allan family.

How He Became Famous

Edgar was first famous in the U.S. for being the guy that is the best but not even a coach. When he was in the army he stated to write poetry and he showed the poetry to his friends in the army and they liked it so he left and wrote a book called " Tamer Lane And Other Poems and one day he saw a raven flying around so he thought to him self "what if I make a book called "The Raven"and people bought the book and he became famous.
