Maximize your Facebook Business Page. Use custom tabs for offers, Write engaging posts that drive the conversation and create great offers. Giveaways, contest and knowledge.

YES, TAKE GOOGLE SERIOUSLY IN 2014
2014 could very well be the year that Google+ arrives for small business owners. Make sure you are ready to take advantage of this platform.

If you have not created a Google+ profile or business page, now is the time. Secure your custom URL for your personal account as well as your business account. Look to implement Google Authorship. It will help improve your search engine visibility. Make sure you are ready for mobile. Mobile friendly websites will get preference in mobile search results.

  • Retweet Relevant Tweets
Your business tweets should be very focused to your target audience. Us links in your Tweets that lead back to the original content. Use Hashtags sparingly, no more than two per tweet. The best times to tweet are between 1-4 pm.

Check out the Twitter Cards. You can expand the real estate for your tweets beyond the 140 character limit.

Create a Business Account, you will have access to added resources, statistic and plugins. Incorporating Pinterest into your website will make it easier for your images to be pinned. Use good quality images, makes a huge difference. Also use infographics to display interesting data about your industry.

You can gain new subscribers by allowing your current subscribers to share your content.

Determine the best times to send your email marketing pieces. These are some general rules of thumb, but not definitive.
