PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1. ALL IN: Each staff member makes The Sidekick and serving the newspaper a priority. They exhibit this by making sacrifices in their personal lives to take on Sidekick assignments so that this newspaper can better serve its audience. No other school activity takes higher priority than The Sidekick for every staff member. Staff members plan to attend conventions and workshops.

2. WE ARE ONE: Through the leadership of editors, the staff supports each other and creates a positive environment for all members. Staff members invest time outside of their class period to interact with other staff members both on newspaper assignments and by attending social activities.

3. PROFESSIONALISM: Each staff member displays responsibility in the newsroom with equipment and supplies. This includes proper care of all cameras and accessories, as well as newsroom laptops and desktops. Staff does not lose or damage equipment.

4. VISUAL STORYTELLING: The photography department is a strength of the newspaper under the leadership of the photo editor and photography team. This includes quality photo assignments for all stories as reporters, editors and photographers work as a team to formulate the best photo opportunities. Photographers provide an array of photographs, including candid, action and portraits. Photographers have a “arrive early, stay late” mentality as photojournalists.
