  • It is based around Jesus Christ, and his resurrection.
  • It is the largest religion in the world with over 2 billion followers
  • It arose from Judaism. Wide variety of types of worship, etc.
  • Priest; bishop; archbishop; patriarch; pope; pastor; minister; preacher; deacon
  • Church, chapel, cathedral, basilica, meeting hall

WE BELIEVE...

  • In one God who is made up of 3 parts- holy trinity
  • ^the father (God not in a humanly form)
  • The son of god (Jesus Christ, who came to earth to save us
  • The Holy Spirit... Jesus is the messiah
  • God sent him down to forgive our sins by dying on the cross

PRACTICES

  • Prayer
  • Praise
  • Service
  • Sacraments
  • ^ baptism, holy communion, conformation, reconciliation

THE EUCHARIST

THE INTAKING OF JESUS THROUGH HIS BODY AND BLOOD

HOW TO LIVE

  • Love god with your heart, soul, and mind
  • Love your neighbor as yourself
  • Live to love, know, and serve god
  • Bring as many people closer to God as you can

AFTER WE DIE

  • There will come a judgement day
  • Souls will stay alive, but the physical form will vanish
  • Purgatory (for some) the waiting place before getting into heaven
  • Eternal life with God in heaven of with Satan (the devil) in hell
