3. PLAGUE
The plague in Rome resulted in 1,000 of deaths. This caused the strength of Rome to decrease. The empire lost many soldiers which weakened the army. Many farmers died which decreased the amount of products produced which decreased trade. The weakening of the army and decline of trade lead to weakening of the economy and protection of the empire. This is number 3 because I think that this started all of the problems.

2. When Diocletian came to power, he divided the empire into Greek speaking east and Latin speaking west. This division worked for awhile but it created less unity between Rome. After the death of Constantine the east continued to prosper but the west crumpled because of invasions. Because they were divided they didn't protect each other. Soon later invasions from the Visigoths, Huns, and vandals ultimately led to the complete fall of Rome. This is number 2 because this is when the fall actually happened and there were events leading up to this.

1. The number one reason of the fall of the Roman Empire was the rise of Christianity. Christianity opposed basically everything the Romans were about. According to roman religion, emperors could become gods. Christians believed that there was only one god and man could not be god. Christians also believed in living humbly but the Romans were all a about riches. As more people joined Christianity this caused distrust of roman rule. Losing the trust of its people caused Rome to have many problems. This is the number 1 reason because I believe that this distrust and deterioration of Roman value was the start of all problems.
