Edmodo.com has been an integral part of my classroom since its inception. I use it to help keep my students organized, assign and collect work, share resources with students and colleagues.
The subtext app can be used with edmodo or for older students with a google account. Using subtext with edmodo makes teaching students to annotate and discuss text easy and interactive.
A great app for small group work and student presentations. You can create slides and record yourself explaining a lesson or process to students and it can be embedded on edmodo to share with the class. Students can also create tutorials for each other or the class. Can be used as an alternate way to assess a student's understanding of problem solving or any other task.
