THE SEARCH & SAVE

USING GOOGLE IMAGES FOR INSPIRATION
Creativity for him starts with looking at the work of others. He finds parts that he likes and makes them into something else.

NO!

NOT THAT PIRATE

THE GOBLIN PIRATE

INSPIRED BY THIS CLAY CREATION

MOLDING THE FACE

MIX OF PINK, YELLOW, RED & ORANGE CLAY
The eyes are the most important part of the expression. The mouth was made using white clay and carved with toothpicks.

HEAD & HANDS DRYING

GOLD COINS FOR HIS HANDS
Each coin was made individually & placed in his hands

THE DETAILS MATTER

OPEN HANDS HAVE THUMBS POINTING OUTWARD
Make sure that thumbs point correctly so that the figure is accurate/correct

REUSED OLD SHIRT

SCULPTED THE JACKET WITH CLAY

Connecting body

Head & hands connected

There's a secret way to connect parts using toothpicks. The toothpicks also make the head movable.
