BREIF HISTORY

• "Buddha" was destined to be either a great king or spiritual leader.
• His parents wanted him to be a great king, so the kept him in a palace
• But, he got out, and asked questions about what he saw, suffering men
• Then he ran away and studied Hinduism.
• He then grew to a advanced level of knowledge. And started teaching the 4 noble truths

• The 4 noble truths
• There will always be suffering
• Suffering will stop
• The cause of suffering is ignorance
• There is a pathway out of suffering (polytheistic)
