ABSTINENCE

  • It's 100% effective
  • It's free- you do it on your own.
  • Barrier

BIRTH-CONTROL IMPLANT

  • A match stick sized rod that is inserted in the arm to prevent pregnancy
  • Hormonal
  • Costs between $400 and$800 up front last 3 years
  • Less than 1 out of 100 women will become pregnant

BIRTH CONTROL SHOT

  • A shot in the arm that prevents pregnancy
  • Hormonal
  • Cost between $35-$100 per injection plus any exam fees
  • Effectiveness less than 1 out of 100 women will get pregnant
  • 6 out of 100 will get pregnant IF NOT USED RIGHT.

CONDOM

  • Worn on penis
  • Barrier
  • Costs about $1
  • Effectiveness 2 out of 100 women will get pregnant

BIRTH CONTROL PILL

  • Take a pill each day to prevent pregnancy
